Bargaining With the Wrong Group |

The Ministry of Education announced a new funding distribution model for Saskatchewan school divisions which aims to bring equity to students regardless of where they go to school by equalizing funding for school divisions across the province. This new funding distribution model provides funding for school division related to governance, administration, plant operation and maintenance, instruction and teacher staffing levels just to name a few.

On January 30, 2012 the EWSC held a mini conference entitled "Hire Your Own Boss" in Humboldt. This was a spinoff of the One for All drive the EWSC has been working toward. Locals were encouraged to send members, in order to assist the Ed Workers executive chose their next course of action.

The ongoing struggle for Provincial Bargaining has not been without its drama this year. We started out continuing our pursuit for "One Agreement for All" by meeting with the minister of education.
